At any scene of a crime or occurrence, there will be many pieces of evidance that, if correctly identified and interpreted, can lead the investigator to identify the offender. Having protected the scene and protected the individual pieces of evidence, the next stage of the process is to record and, wherever possible, collect the evidence.
