The virus is from the same family of the SARS virus and the MERS virus:


These viruses pass from animals to humans.
The SARS virus has passed on to humans from the cat family, Civet cats,
The MERS virus has passed to humans from Somali camel, Dromedary camels.
The first virus erupted in China and the second in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

The new virus in this family erupted in Wuhan city in Hubei province, China.
Apparently, human infection has begun in the seafood market in this city.
